Featured Fellowships

The Boren Awards

Boren Scholarships (undergraduate students) and Fellowships (graduate students) provide funding for semester and year-long study abroad programs with a language study component. Applicants must demonstrate interest in government service.

  • University deadline: A campus nomination is not required, but prospective applicants are encouraged to consult with our office in advance of the deadline.
  • External deadline: Jan. 22 (Fellowships), Jan. 29 (Scholarships).

The Udall Scholarship

The Udall Undergraduate Scholarship is for sophomores and juniors who are: future leaders across a wide spectrum of environmental fields OR future Native American leaders in healthcare, government or public policy.

  • University deadline: Dec. 1.
  • External deadline: March 5.
