Emergency Management

UB uses national, state and industry standards along with institutional experience to prepare for, respond to and recover from campus emergencies.

Planning for the protection of all three UB campuses is a coordinated, comprehensive and cooperative effort to:

  • Avert or minimize the effects of natural, technological and civil disasters
  • Protect lives and property
  • Restore the affected area to its original state with minimal operational and economic disruption

UB’s emergency plans should serve as a guideline but situations may arise that are not covered within the plans. Always use your best judgment and common sense during emergencies.
